Where Orderblock sits in a forex stack
| Layer | Typical tool | What Orderblock does |
|---|---|---|
| Execution | MT4, MT5, cTrader, broker platform | Nothing. It never places or modifies an order. |
| Charting and analysis | TradingView, platform charts | Replay and review of the trades you took, not idea generation. |
| Record keeping | Spreadsheet, broker statement | Reconciled closed-trade history with exact broker values and currency. |
| Performance review | Manual spreadsheet maths | Profit factor, expectancy, realized R, drawdown, cost and concentration breakdowns. |
| Process | Notebook, notes app | Journal entries linked to individual trades, with templates and reminders. |

What it deliberately is not
Orderblock does not execute trades, generate signals, forecast prices, manage money or guarantee results. Its broker adapters use read endpoints only, and the MetaTrader route requires an investor password so that trading is not technically possible.
It is also not a certified compliance record. Keep your broker statement as the authoritative document and reconcile against it. Orderblock is the layer that makes those statements answerable, not a replacement for them.
Forex software questions
Is Orderblock a MetaTrader replacement?
No. You keep trading in MT4, MT5, cTrader or your broker platform. Orderblock reads closed trades from those platforms and gives you the review layer they do not have.
Does it work with prop firm and funded accounts?
If the account can export closed trades or connect through a supported route, its history can be tracked. Availability depends on the platform and the firm’s access rules, so confirm before relying on an automatic connection.
What does it cost?
Pro is $24.99 per month or $239.90 per year with three trading accounts and 50 AI requests per month. Elite is $49.99 per month or $479.90 per year with ten accounts and 500 AI requests. Eligible new subscriptions get a 14-day trial and a card is required.
