Everything Orderblock does

A trading journal is usually sold as somewhere to type notes. This is the rest of it: getting every trade in the moment it happens, making the numbers agree with your broker, and turning sixty closed trades into something you can act on next week.

Trades arrive the second they happen.

Connect a MetaTrader 4 or 5 account with a read-only investor password and Orderblock runs the terminal for you. Every open, every change to a stop, every partial and every close is pushed to your journal as the broker reports it. Open positions and equity update while you trade; the calendar fills in as the day goes.

cTrader and the hosted brokerage network connect read-only and are collected every fifteen minutes. Any broker that can export closed trades imports by statement, with a guided column mapper and a preview before anything saves.

The numbers match your statement to the penny.

Imported figures keep the broker’s exact decimal strings. Broker-reported net P&L is used as net, so commission and swap are never subtracted twice, and the account currency travels with every figure. Two accounts in different currencies are never added together, because the result would mean nothing.

A restated value under an existing trade ID stops the import for reconciliation instead of appending a duplicate. Separate fill exports are rejected rather than silently aggregated into trades.

Commission is recorded as a cost and shown, not deducted a second time. Realised R uses the risk you logged at entry; trades without a recorded risk are left out of the average rather than guessed.

Analytics with the formula attached.

Every figure carries its definition and its exclusions, and every grouped result carries its trade count, so a flattering average over four trades cannot pass for a finding. The four views below are computed from one sixty-trade sample account.

Net P&L
Sum of each closed trade’s net P&L, in the selected account currency.
Profit factor
Sum of positive net trade P&L ÷ absolute sum of negative net trade P&L. No losses with positive profits produces ∞; no closed trades, or only breakeven trades, is unavailable.
Expectancy
Net realized P&L ÷ number of closed trades. Includes break-even trades and fees.
Average realized R
Average of net trade P&L ÷ recorded risk amount. Only closed trades with a positive recorded risk amount are included.
Maximum drawdown
Largest peak-to-trough decline in cumulative closed-trade P&L. Starts at zero and excludes unrealized positions and deposits. Trades that close at the same instant move equity once, together, so row order cannot create a drawdown.
Trading fees
Sum of recorded fees on closed trades. Broker-reported net P&L already includes costs; fees are not subtracted twice.

All 18 definitions, verbatim from the product

A journal attached to the trade it describes.

Entries are written against the trade, not in a separate notebook. Open a trade from the analytics, the calendar or a coach answer and the reasoning you recorded at the time is there, next to the risk you planned and the R you actually took.

Folders, templates, autosave and reminders keep the habit cheap: a ninety-second entry at the close, four or five strategy tags used consistently, and a weekly review that starts from evidence.

Journal entry

Added a second lot when gold went against me instead of taking the planned stop. Moved the stop twice.

A coach that cites its sources.

Ask which instruments cost you money, how results split by holding time, or why the afternoon is worse than the morning. The coach answers in numbers computed from your closed trades and cites the trade IDs behind every claim, so each answer can be opened and checked.

It is off until you turn it on, and no account data leaves Orderblock until you do. It never predicts a price, and when the sample is too small to support a conclusion it says so.

What the coach will and will not say

Why is my afternoon so much worse than my morning?

Between Mon 7 Sep and Fri 16 Oct you opened 17 trades between 13:00 and 15:00 UTC. They lost £1,310.80 net and only 2 of them finished in profit, an average of −0.95R per trade. 16 of the 17 are tagged NY reversal.

The three largest losses in the whole sample came from this window, and each ran past −1.5R, so the stop was not where the plan said it was:

#58Thu 15 Oct 13:25EURUSD short−£129.60−1.85R

For contrast, the 07:00 to 09:00 window made +£1,962.70 across 25 trades, 20 of them winners. The edge is in the first two hours; the afternoon is where the plan stops being followed. Your journal entries for #34, #18 and #58 all mention adding to a losing position.

Added a second lot when gold went against me instead of taking the planned stop. Moved the stop twice.

Every answer is computed from your closed trades and cites the trade IDs behind it. The coach is optional and nothing leaves your account until you turn it on.

What it deliberately does not do

Worth knowing before you subscribe. If you need any of the left column, this is not the product.

Not includedWhy
Trade executionEvery broker adapter uses read endpoints. MetaTrader connects with an investor password, which cannot place an order.
Signals or price forecastsNothing here predicts. The AI explains your own closed trades and says so when the sample cannot support a conclusion.
Copy trading or a social feedSomeone else’s equity curve is not evidence about your results.
A mobile appThe web workspace is responsive. There is no native app today.
Tax reportingKeep your broker statement as the authoritative record. Orderblock is the review layer, not a filing tool.

Feature questions

More on pricing and security, or ask us.

Which markets are supported?

Forex, stocks, options and futures. Contract multipliers and fees require explicit mapping or values at import, so instrument conventions stay correct rather than being assumed from the symbol.

How many accounts can I connect?

Three on Pro and ten on Elite. Each account keeps its own currency, history and journal, and results across different account currencies are never silently summed.

Do I have to use the AI features?

No. The journal, imports, calendar and every analytics view work without ever starting an AI conversation, and no account data is sent anywhere until you consent.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Complete trade history export on every plan, and account deletion in Settings. Existing data, exports and billing management remain accessible after cancellation.
