Connect cTrader, OANDA and brokerages

Connect cTrader with your cTrader ID, OANDA with an API token, Interactive Brokers with Flex, and Schwab, Webull, Trading 212 and other brokerages with read-only access.

Brokers that are not on MetaTrader connect in one of three read-only ways. Search for your broker on the connect screen and Orderblock shows which one applies. Each of these checks for new closed trades about every 15 minutes.

cTrader

  1. Search for your broker or for cTrader and choose Connect.
  2. Sign in with your cTrader ID in the window that opens and grant read-only access.
  3. Back in Orderblock, pick the trading account to import.

Closed positions are collected on a schedule, about every 15 minutes. Hedged forex and CFD positions are supported.

Stock brokerages

Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, TradeStation, tastytrade, E*TRADE, Fidelity, Webull, Robinhood, Trading 212, eToro, DEGIRO, Questrade, Moomoo, Public, Vanguard, AJ Bell, CommSec, Stake and others connect through a hosted authorisation portal run by SnapTrade.

  1. Choose your brokerage and select Connect.
  2. Sign in at your brokerage inside the portal and grant read-only access.
  3. Pick the linked account back in Orderblock.

Reconciled stock, ADR and ETF round trips are collected on a schedule. Options, corporate actions and other activity come in by statement import. Timestamps from this route can have daily precision only, which matters if you review by time of day.

OANDA with an API token

OANDA accounts can connect directly as well as through MetaTrader.

  1. In OANDA, open Manage API Access and generate a personal access token.
  2. Copy your v20 account ID. It looks like 001-004-1234567-001.
  3. Paste both into Orderblock and choose practice or live.

Closed trades come in with their fees, open trades are mirrored and the account’s transactions are followed from then on. If you trade OANDA on MetaTrader, the live MetaTrader route works too.

Interactive Brokers with Flex

For stock, option and futures round trips, Interactive Brokers can also connect through its Flex Web Service:

  1. In Client Portal, open Performance & Reports → Flex Queries.
  2. Create an Activity Flex Query that includes trades and open positions.
  3. Enable the Flex Web Service and copy its token.
  4. In Orderblock, enter the token, the query ID and the account’s reporting time zone.

Round trips refresh about every 15 minutes. Cross-currency trades, assignments, corporate actions and missing opening history need a statement to reconcile.

Broker not listed?

If it runs MetaTrader 4 or 5, the live route works anyway: search for MetaTrader. Otherwise use guided import, which works for any broker that can export closed trades. To ask for a direct connection, type the broker’s name on the connect screen and choose Request; we email you the day it is added. The full list is on supported brokers.

Managing a connection

Broker connections → Manage shows each connection’s status, last sync and any error. From there you can sync again, re-enter credentials or remove the connection. Removing a connection stops future access; trades already imported stay in the trading account unless you delete the account.
